Zoe was wonderful. Great to work with. Great ideas. My photos turned out AMAZING!!! Cayne was an excellent photographer -- funny, organized and great with his camera.

Plus he chose an interesting, eye-catching location. My Photographer Scott was very professional, arrived on time and was open to ideas. Felt at ease with him. Would highly recommend your service!!! My photographer Frank was very professional, exceptional service, great shots, friendly and polite. I'm very happy and would recommend your service to anyone looking for pro shoots taken. Take a breath and hold on, soon you will be able to confidently write her back in a way that will keep the conversation going and get her interested in meeting you fast.

She wants to hear from you, so writing back soon after the message, as long as your response is thoughtful, is fine. Make sure you fully read her message. Think of it as your cheat sheet to finding a few things in common to ask about and expand the conversation you want to build.

If you are interested in the same music, sport, or other interest, bring it up when you reply. Ask something open-ended, avoiding yes or no questions. What are some of your favorite places to get sushi? Who are some of your favorite musicians? Also make sure to fully answer. It makes you look desperate and it will seem overwhelming for her to find a time to sit and reply to something that long. After that first bit of interchange, find a way to tease her a little bit.

Having clear photos and writing an interesting profile is key. Common problems are: boring lengthy text or barely there text, blurry photos, spelling mistakes, vagueness , negativity , being self-deprecating or too picky, are also turn offs. Photos should be recent and clear. The general rule of thumb is one clear headshot for your main photo, then one full length and another one of you doing an activity or hobby that you enjoy. When it comes to photos the more the better , try to get at least five up if you can.

Then evaluate, rewrite and spell check. Most paid dating sites allow anyone to sign up and create a profile but only paying members can message back. The person could very well be interested in communicating with you but, their calendar is full or maybe you got lost in their inbox. Online daters tend to be writing and dating multiple people , so it may be a case of responding to you at a later date.

If you think this might be the case, feel free to send a follow up email. What kind of message are you sending? I know that writing messages can be at times tedious or discouraging. However, the basics of messaging are pretty simple. Firstly, short flippant messages should be avoided whenever possible. One study found that overly cute-flippant lines were the least desirable form of introduction among women. What matters most in message sending will be the length combined with the thoughtfulness put into it.

Then draft a brief and simple message, one or two sentences that show you have some common ground.

Posted by Sandy Weiner in online dating after 40 , single women over 40 5 comments. As a dating coach for women over 40, I find many women at this age are jaded and tired of dating online. As a result, they often write men off for what may seem like an offensive online dating message at first glance. In a recent search on OkCupid, I came across a profile that stood out. Pictures: good looking guy with funny captions.

Profile: witty without being obnoxious or sarcastic. His values seemed aligned with mine, and I was intrigued, so I wrote the first message—-which I highly recommend women do if they want to find love online. I saw that in a profile once. This offended me for a number of reasons. What happened to social graces? While I appreciate when a man takes the time to read my profile, did he think that bashing Jewish men in politics would be endearing to me?

What he did in his initial online dating message was find fault in Jewish men in the political arena. Calling these men boys who never grew up came across as bitter to me. At this point, many women would have ignored, blocked, or reported this guy to the OkCupid police. First he bashes Jewish men in politics, next he gets sexual. Not so charming, right? This guy must be a jerk…. I cropped it to protect his identity, but he signed with his full name, which I interpreted as an act of trust, of showing your full cards so to speak.

So, I chose to have fun with my response. Why not? That last line about the bouncy castle was my attempt at keeping it light, not harsh or reprimanding. I was prepared for any response.

He could have ignored me. See how he rose up to his higher self instead of stooping even lower? It could have gone either way. My favorite part? How he responds to you taking the high road will show you his character. What began as a message that offended me, turned into a warm and fun connection. Online dating can be awkward and impersonal.

The purpose of online dating is to meet and see if you click in any way. Want to stand out from the crowd and find true love online? i am 61 almost 62 and the age range I like to consider is from as though razors have left the planet. Who wants that? Whatever happened to real, available nice gentlemen who also have a life and something going for them??? I am NOT a negative person at all.. Where are all the REAL, grown-up, legally and emotionally available men who have faced reality, gotten over themselves, and learned a thing or two about how to give and receive love????

Thank you for sharing this! I loved how you responded to him. Hello Sandy. Bless your heart for wanting to give this offensive man the benefit of the doubt and for your curiosity to see how it would play out if you did respond instead of continued ignorance and just writing him off. However,I am leaning a bit on the side of Teddee Graces response with regard to not seeing him as redeeming himself. Its been my experience after nearly 20 years of being single that men show you who they are up front…believe them.

I want a man that is classy in the beginning and the end. Thanks for all you do. Thanks, Patty! I do try to give people the benefit of the doubt.. until I have evidence to prove otherwise. I hear you, Robin. I would have loved for my dates to have gotten curious instead of putting me in a box. Turned out the guy in this article was a jerk, which I confirmed on the first-and last-phone call 🙂.
